The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a seminar entitled “Terrorism, Its Impact on Society, and Strategies for Confrontation” on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in the scientific departments.

The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Hussein Saleh Mankhour and Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Abdulhassan Abd Aoun.

The aim of the seminar was to raise awareness about terrorism and its consequences. It included discussions on the definition and origins of terrorism, its various manifestations, and the main causes behind it. The speakers also addressed methods of combating terrorism and the legal measures that should be adopted to confront it.

The participants emphasized the importance of holding similar events to help reduce the phenomenon of terrorism, which fosters violence within social life.
