The Chairman of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naim Al-Abboudi met with the Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi at the Agency’s headquarters in the Austrian capital Vienna on the sidelines of its 68th General Conference. The two sides discussed the cooperation contexts stipulated in the Technical Cooperation Agreement that was signed by the Chairman of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) Dr. Naim Al-Abboudi with the IAEA Technical Cooperation Department for the years 2024-2029. The IAEC Chairman confirmed that Iraq looks forward to the support of the Agency to promote peaceful atomic energy programmes that serve the country’s needs.
