Presidential Advisor donates a number of books to Karbala University in support of the university’s library

Karbala University President Dr Sabah Wajid Ali received on Thursday a number of books donated by the Presidency of the Republic, represented by its advisor Professor Saad Al-Saadi.

The books include titles in various practical fields, including law, politics, media, public culture and social development.

The university president appreciated this initiative, which would promote the culture of reading and reading among the academic community and restore the status of the book in light of the cultural invasion facing the youth in particular and society in general.

Wajid pointed out that the university is moving towards developing scientific research, diversifying sources of information and exchanging opinions, as well as providing opportunities for the individual for self-learning to transform him into a creative individual who is aware of all the issues of his society and his surroundings.

‘The Presidency of the Republic has strategic programmes to support university libraries, as they are a key and effective element in shaping the culture of society through the opportunities they provide for individuals to communicate and learn skills to acquire knowledge,’ said Saad Al Saadi, Advisor to the President of the Republic.

The central library of Karbala University receives from time to time books related to various disciplines that are donated by researchers and writers to enrich knowledge and support the scientific movement.
