The master’s thesis tagged improvement of the recommendation system using machine learning techniques and social networks was discussed in the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala. The thesis was submitted by the student (Mustafa Raed Amin) at nine o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, 3/1/2023.
The discussion took place in Al-Khwarizmi Hall in the Deanship of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, in the presence of a number of researchers and teachers.
The study highlighted the important role of social recommendation systems and their impact on helping users to make decisions and the use of the Graph Convolutional Networks algorithm to improve system performance.
The researcher reached a number of results, the most important of which is the proposal of a system based on the GCN and the social network called
(Social Ultra simplified Graph Convolution Network) (Social UGCN).
The discussion was attended by the dean of the college, assistants and heads of scientific departments, and a group of teachers.
