The College of Computer Science and Information Technology held its regular council session under the chairmanship of Dr. Muwafaq Kazem Al-Hasnawi, the Dean, on Monday, April 29, 2024. The session was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and the heads of the scientific departments.

At the beginning of the session, the Dean expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all members of the college council and staff for their dedicated efforts throughout the academic year 2023-2024.

Various matters were discussed during the session, including:

• Discussion of the decisions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and directives from the University of Karbala President.
• Preparation for final exams for postgraduate and undergraduate studies.
• Follow-up on matters concerning postgraduate students, emphasizing scientific publication in reputable journals, ensuring quality assurance, and meeting program accreditation standards.
• Discussion of faculty promotions and adding research to the scientific plan.

At the end of the session, the esteemed heads of departments were directed to monitor the educational process and overcome any difficulties for both faculty members and students, aiming to elevate the academic level of our beloved college and university.
