The local government in Holy Karbala conducted a lottery for the distribution of more than 600 residential plots for university faculty and staff in the presence of the university president, Professor Dr. Basim Khalil Nayel Al-Saadi, his administrative assistant, Professor Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri, and a large number of faculty and staff.
In his speech, University President Dr. Basim Al-Saadi expressed his gratitude to the local government of Karbala for its continuous support to the academic staff and for providing residential plots as part of its program related to providing services to citizens.
Al-Saadi emphasized that the university will remain supportive of all efforts aimed at improving the city’s conditions, infrastructure, and urban projects.
Dr. Akram Al-Yasiri, the university’s administrative assistant, stated that the university will continue its efforts and demands to include a larger number of faculty and staff in future allocations.
Governor Nasif Jasim Al-Khatib expressed his readiness to stand with the academic community by providing them with care and support, describing the university professors as messengers of knowledge and enlightenment.
Al-Khatib added that the local government in Karbala is committed to distributing residential plots to all segments of society to ensure a dignified life for Karbala residents, indicating that the remaining professors and university staff will be included in the upcoming allocations in the coming months.
