The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, stressed on achieving the highest level of institutional integration with various state sectors, enhancing the role of the university in serving the community and developing twinning programs with international universities.
This came during his meeting with the University of Maysan Council in the presence of the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs and the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, where he called for building positive partnerships and institutional integration with state sectors and contributing to enhancing the role of the university in society according to the development requirements that require updating graduate programs and the area of specializations to be within the path of interaction with labor market variables and technological and economic developments that suit the environment of the governorate.
The Minister of Education explained that the indicator of increasing the number of international students admitted to Iraqi universities and activating scientific twinning programs with international universities and benefiting from their experiences carries a clear indication of the progress of the level of quality in Iraqi university institutions.
He added that Iraqi universities have become an attractive study environment, which requires promoting the completion of construction projects in universities, including classrooms, laboratories and internal departments, pointing at the same time to the importance of following up on the affairs of graduates and holding training workshops to prepare them to join the labor market.
