The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched programmatic accreditation standards for law colleges.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched programmatic accreditation standards for law colleges within Iraqi universities as part of the national programmatic standards framework.

This was announced during an official ceremony organized by the National Council for the Accreditation of Law Colleges in collaboration with the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Department in the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority.

Dr. Salah Al-Fatlawi, the head of the Supervision Authority, and Dr. Nazam Jabbar, the head of the National Council for the Accreditation of Law College Programs, explained that the launch of programmatic accreditation standards will enhance the resilience of specialized educational programs and pave the way for institutional accreditation. Law colleges are now invited to apply for programmatic accreditation.

The programmatic accreditation standards for law colleges include six axes: Organization and Administration (with twenty indicators), Legal Education Programs (with thirty-five indicators), Faculty Members (with twenty-two indicators), Student Admission and Services (with twenty indicators), Libraries and Information Resources (with sixteen indicators), and Facilities, Funding Sources, and Equipment (with fifteen indicators).
