The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched programmatic accreditation standards for law colleges in Iraqi universities within the framework of national programmatic standards.
This came during the official ceremony held by the National Council for Accreditation of Law Colleges in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Department at the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority.
Dr. Salah Al-Fatlawi, the head of the Supervision Authority, and Dr. Nazim Jabbar, the head of the National Council for Accreditation of Law College Programs, clarified that the launch of programmatic accreditation standards will enhance the robustness of specialized educational programs and pave the way for institutional accreditation. Law colleges are invited from now to submit their requests for programmatic accreditation.
The programmatic accreditation standards for law colleges include six axes: (Organization and Administration) with twenty indicators, (Legal Education Programs) with thirty-five indicators, (Faculty Members) with twenty-two indicators, (Admission and Student Services) with twenty indicators, (Libraries and Information Resources) with sixteen indicators, and (Facilities, Funding Sources, and Equipment) with fifteen indicators.
