The University of Karbala hosted a ceremony honouring the students who won the “Art of Public Speaking” competition, which was organized by the Volunteer Development and Advancement Team, sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and in coordination with the university.
The honouring ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, and the President of the University of Karbala, Dr. Basem Khalil Nayel Al-Saidi, his assistants, and a group of college deans, professors, and students.
During the honouring ceremony, the Minister of Youth and Sports stressed the need to pay attention to youth energies and develop their skills in various fields, especially those related to culture and community awareness.
The President of the University of Karbala, Dr. Basem Al-Saeedi, thanked everyone who contributed to the success of this competition, which is in harmony with the university’s strategy in developing students’ diverse skills.
First place in the competition went to student Montazer Haider from the College of Islamic Sciences
This competition, organized by the Volunteer Development and Promotion Team, coincides with International Arabic Language Day, which various government institutions and civil society organizations celebrate.
