The University of Karbala Launches the Third Edition of the International Humanities Conference

The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Karbala, in collaboration with Al-Hilla University College, organized its third international scientific conference with the participation of academics and researchers from inside and outside Iraq.

The conference aimed to exchange academic and scientific experiences among researchers inside and outside Iraq, and to activate the role of scientific institutions in promoting the scientific reality and diagnosing the challenges facing progress. It also provided an opportunity for researchers to present their scientific outputs to serve the scientific process.

The conference witnessed the participation of more than 70 research papers covering various topics in the fields of Arabic and English linguistic and literary studies, as well as historical, civilizational, and Islamic studies.

Dr. Basim Khalil Nayel Al-Saadi, the President of the University of Karbala, mentioned in his speech at the conference that “this conference contributes to enhancing the research level and cognitive development, as well as addressing many issues and phenomena facing society.”

Al-Saadi called for intensifying scientific efforts to raise the university’s level and achieve the highest scientific quality, as well as providing solutions to the problems facing society.

On his part, Dr. Sabah Wajid, the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, emphasized that society faces many challenges that need attention and scientific treatment through research and studies provided by such conferences. He clarified that the current edition of the conference has taken upon itself to address humanitarian and scientific issues and confront contemporary challenges.
