The conference, organized by the World Union of Muslim Women in Iraq in collaboration with the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, adopted the slogan “Fatimah al-Zahra: The Generous Kauthar and the Source of Scholars.” It shed light on the life of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) as a model characterized by ideal values for societal development and facing various challenges.
The conference addresses contemporary challenges facing Islamic society through more than 70 research papers covering educational, jurisprudential, Quranic, philosophical, narrative, and linguistic topics.
The conference was attended by the University of Karbala President, Professor Bassim Nayil Al-Sa’idi, along with his academic and administrative assistants, as well as official and religious figures from various Islamic denominations.
In his speech during the conference, the university president emphasized the importance of dedicating ample space for scientific research on Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), calling for intensifying such scientific events that contribute to societal development through their scientific outputs, and expressing hope that the conference would achieve its intended goals.
On his part, the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Dr. Mohammed Al-Taie, highlighted the importance of women achieving their rightful place in various positions based on their crucial role in societal development, a role reflected in many Quranic verses.
