The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in research and academic publishing today, Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM in Al-Khwarizmi Hall, with the participation of researchers and specialists from the college.

The workshop aimed to familiarize attendees with artificial intelligence and its applications in scientific research and academic publishing, emphasizing that studying AI aims to improve human life and facilitate solving the problems they face.

The workshop covered how various AI programs can be used to obtain information from reliable and accredited sources, highlighting that the use of AI in scientific research represents a qualitative leap in traditional research methodologies.

Additionally, the workshop addressed how to create and format tables and images in both Arabic and English languages, while addressing ethical considerations and potential risks.

Researchers urged for the encouragement of research and development in the field of artificial intelligence to realize its full benefits for humanity, as well as the establishment of rules and ethics for its use to prevent exploitation for harmful purposes. They also stressed the importance of providing appropriate training and education for those working in the field of AI to improve their skills and enhance their understanding of its ethical use.
