The President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid, received a delegation from the Jabal Al-Sabr Global Foundation for Culture and Dawah in Iran, as part of efforts to strengthen academic and cultural partnerships between the two sides.

The delegation, which included a distinguished group of professors and scholars affiliated with the foundation, presented the main scientific missions and functions of the institution, its history, and its role in qualifying cultural cadres, in addition to the research programs it undertakes.

In turn, the University President provided a brief presentation on the University of Karbala, highlighting its development stages, colleges, and offered disciplines, as well as its vision for openness toward regional and international academic institutions.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation, particularly in areas such as student exchange, promotion of collaborative research, and the organization of joint seminars and conferences, aiming to broaden the horizons of academic and cultural collaboration.
