Dr. Najm Abdul Hussein said that the meeting is the first at the level of Iraqi universities, to be a real start towards expanding the horizons of community awareness in all Iraqi universities.

He pointed out that the launch of the ministerial committee’s work from Karbala University comes because of the religious symbolism it carries, which draws its strength from the reformist renaissance of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

Al-Janabi emphasized on working hard to come up with many courses to be applied in Iraqi universities to enhance the intellectual awareness of the student segment.

He pointed out that universities and academic institutions will host similar meetings to come up with recommendations aimed at confronting intellectual and behavioral deviations.

It is noteworthy that the ministerial committee was formed under the guidance of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Abboudi, with the aim of preserving the prevailing social values and customs.
