The Human Rights Unit at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Karbala, organized a training workshop titled \u201cHuman Rights and Programming Ethics: Toward a Responsible Programmer.\u201d<\/em> The workshop was held on Wednesday, 26\/11\/2025, in Laboratory No. (4) of the Computer Science Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session was presented by Assistant Lecturer Inaam Razaq Abdul-Muhsin and Assistant Lecturer Hussein Abdul-Hassan Mahdi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop addressed key human rights principles related to the technological field, as well as the most important ethical standards that must be upheld in programming and system development. It also emphasized the programmer\u2019s role in creating software that respects user privacy and ensures the safe use of modern technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop aimed to enhance students\u2019 awareness of the ethical and social responsibilities of programmers and to prepare a conscious generation capable of engaging with technology in a responsible manner aligned with human values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event witnessed notable attendance from students interested in the ethical dimensions of the tech field, with an open discussion and questions about the practical application of these principles in programming work environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
