Karbala University organised an afforestation campaign in the university gardens with the participation of the university president, Prof. Sabah Wajid Ali, deans, professors and students. “In implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and within the framework of the initiative launched by Prime Minister Mohammed Shi’a Al-Sudani for afforestation, Karbala University initiated an afforestation campaign that included planting a large group of trees in various university gardens to increase the green spaces,” said the Karbala University president. He explained the importance of increasing green spaces and caring for them by students and professors “especially that they are one of the most important indicators that raise the level of the university in international rankings.” l
