At the graduation ceremony of the 34th session of Anbar University Minister of Education confirms the admission of more than three thousand international students to Iraqi universities

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr Naim Al-Abboudi, confirmed that the Ministry and its Iraqi universities have succeeded in attracting and accepting more than 3,000 international students in Iraqi universities within two years under the Study in Iraq programme.

This came in his speech during the graduation ceremony of Anbar University students in the presence of the Minister of Industry, the Governor of Anbar, the Police Chief, the Captain of Academics, a number of MPs and university presidents, where the Minister of Education explained that the graduation of the 34th session at Anbar University, which coincides with the 37th anniversary of its establishment, provides a suitable climate to sustain the success achieved by those in charge of the university administration, which has charted its path towards excellence and represents its mission, goals and vision in building generations, keeping pace with the contexts of development and observing the methodology of institutional performance and programme accreditation.

He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research was able to develop the level of performance in its institutions over two years of tangible giving that upgraded the outputs and established the positive presence of these institutions in the fields of competition with their international counterparts.

The Minister of Higher Education reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to developing the educational environment in all its fields, modernising the contexts of exams and automating their procedures, consolidating documented achievements in the field of scientific publishing, and strengthening plans, programmes and curricula in accordance with the variables of academic knowledge and scientific and technological developments.

The graduation ceremony included a speech by Anbar University President Dr Mushtaq Taleb Al-Nada, a parade of graduates, a parade of faculty council members, a parade of the University Council, a unified university oath, a special oath for the graduates of the medical group colleges, and a ceremony of awarding certificates.

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Naim Al-Abboudi concluded the graduation ceremony by honouring the top students from the university’s faculties.
