Karbala University hosts the closing events of the International Imam Hussein (PBUH) Conference

Karbala University hosted the sixth edition of the Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) International Conference, organized by the General Secretariat of the Holy Husseiniya Shrine in cooperation with Karbala University.

The conference, titled “Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) in the blogs of Muslims,” discussed about 160 research papers from several Iraqi and foreign universities.

The first day of the conference witnessed the unveiling of the Ahlul Bayt (PBUH) Qur’anic Encyclopedia, which consisted of 60 volumes containing all the Ahlul Bayt (PBUH) hadiths related to the Holy Qur’an, which were collected during 14 years.

The second day also saw the organization of research sessions at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Karbala University, as well as the organization of closing events.

Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, president of Karbala University, and his assistant for scientific affairs, Dr. Haider Muhammad Imran, as well as a group of deans of faculties and researchers from inside and outside Iraq, as well as representatives of the Holy Shrine of the Holy Qur’an and the Holy Qur’an House, attended the second day’s activities organized at Karbala University.

The conference made several recommendations, including approaching the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to make the research presented at the conference a tributary of postgraduate studies and scientific research, taking into account the Qur’anic impact of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) by including it in the academic curricula, emphasizing the follow-up of continuous research on the Qur’anic impact in Islamic codes in all fields, and spreading the spirit of competition in attracting researchers in the Qur’anic issue, especially in showing the impact of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the codes.

The closing activities witnessed the honoring of academic and religious figures who had a great impact on the success of the conference.

The conference is one of the activities of the International Day of the Holy Quran, which is organized under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Holy Husseiniyah Shrine in conjunction with the birth of the Muhammadan moons and the Prophet’s Birthday.
