College of Computer Science and Information Technology Holds Master’s Thesis DefenseTitled: Recommendation System Improvement Using Cooperative Learning Models

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala held the defense of a Master’s thesis titled Recommendation System Improvement Using Cooperative Learning Models.

The thesis was submitted by Master’s student Zahraa Yaarub Hani. The defense took place at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, 26 January 2026, in the Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the Deanship of the College, in the presence of the Dean, Dr. Mowaffaq Kazem Al-Hasnawi, along with a number of researchers and faculty members.

The examining committee consisted of:

  • Dr. Iyad Roudhan Abbas — University of Technology / College of Computer Science (Chair)
  • Dr. Ashwan Anwar Abdulmunem — University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology (Member)
  • Dr. Ilham Mohammed Thabit — University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology (Member)
  • Dr. Mohsen Hassan Hussein — University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology (Member and Supervisor)

The defense concluded successfully, and the researcher Zahraa Yaarub Hani was awarded the Master’s degree.
