A ministerial committee visited the College of Computer Science to establish a doctoral program.

A ministerial committee visited the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala to explore the preparations of the college to establish a doctoral program. The committee was received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Muwaffaq Kazem Al-Hasnawi, his scientific deputy, Dr. Mohsen Hassan Hussein, the head of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Mohannad Kamel Abdul-Hameed, and the faculty members of the college.

The committee inspected the classrooms designated for study, laboratories, and the curriculum prepared for the program, as well as reviewed the legal quorum of professors and their academic titles. They also assessed the readiness of the college and the relevant department to establish the program. The committee praised the preparations of the college, expressing positive impressions towards the exceptional efforts made in preparing and establishing suitable classrooms and laboratories for this study.

It is worth mentioning that the opening of the doctoral program at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology – Computer Science Department is the first of its kind at the college level. The Computer Science Department aims to enhance the role of academic activities to keep pace with modern scientific developments, promote scientific research, and highlight the role of the college in the journey of solid scientific research, which contributes to enriching the country with academic expertise.
