The Department of computer science in the faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology –University of Karbala held a webinar entitled (Identifying protein complexes from protein interaction network ) presented by Soheir Noori a lecturer in the department of computer science. The webinar discussed The problem of protein complex prediction maybe just one of the plethora of computational problems that have opened up since the deluge of proteomics (protein-protein interaction; PPI) data. This webinar to take an overview into the algorithms of prediction protein complexes using the information (topological, functional, temporal, structural, and evolutionary) on static and dynamic protein interaction network and explore the methods used to evaluate the predicted protein complexes. At the end of the discussion, the most important research and sources that related to this topic were presented.
