College of Computer Science and Information Technology Discusses Master’s Thesis on Active Learning Strategies for Arabic Natural Language Tasks

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala discussed a Master’s thesis entitled “Active Learning Strategies for Arabic Natural Language Tasks.”

The thesis was presented by the Master’s student Noor Abdulhussein Rashk on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. The defense took place in Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the Deanship of the College, in the presence of the Dean, Dr. Muwaffaq Kazem Al-Hassnawi, along with a number of faculty members and researchers.

The examination committee consisted of:

  • Dr. Bahija Khudair Shukr – University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology – Chair
  • Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Nasser – College of Computer Science and Information Technology – Member
  • Dr. Mohsen Hassan Hussein – University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology – Member
  • Dr. Dhamia Abbas Habib – University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology – Member and Supervisor

The defense concluded successfully, and the researcher Noor Abdulhussein Rashk was awarded a Master’s degree.
