The College of Computer Science and Information Technology held a memorial vigil in mourning for its student, Haider Arkan Ali, a first-year student in the Department of Computer Science, expressing deep sorrow over his passing and honoring his kind character and positive presence among his peers and instructors.
The vigil was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof.dr. Muwaffaq Kadhom Al-Hassnawi, along with a number of faculty members, staff, and a large gathering of students. The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in remembrance of the deceased, followed by a speech from the Dean, in which he expressed his heartfelt condolences and highlighted the student’s admirable اخلاق and respectful conduct within the college.
The event also included a video presentation reflecting on the student’s life, character, and cherished memories, accompanied by a collection of photos commemorating his time at the college.
During the vigil, the college administration reaffirmed its solidarity with the family of the deceased, praying that Almighty God grants him His vast mercy and a place in His eternal paradise, and bestows patience and solace upon his family and loved ones.
The memorial concluded with prayers for the departed, asking God to grant him forgiveness and mercy, and to protect all from such loss.
