The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a training course titled “Preparing Academic Course Descriptions Using the Learning Design Toolkit” within its academic departments.
The course was delivered by Dr. Elham Mohammed Thabet, Dr. Huda Fadel Alwan, and Dr. Mais Saad Safouk, as part of the college’s efforts to develop academic skills and enhance the quality of university education.
The course aimed to train faculty members on how to use the Learning Design Toolkit, which is considered one of the modern tools for curriculum design and preparing academic course descriptions in alignment with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards.
The training included a detailed explanation of the components of an academic course description, methods for formulating learning outcomes, and linking them to teaching and assessment activities using the toolkit—contributing to standardizing curriculum design methods and improving their effectiveness.
This course is part of a series of training programs organized by the college to enhance the efficiency of teaching staff and update their skills in line with global developments in higher education.
