College of Computer Science Conducts Workshop on Bologna Process

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala organized a workshop on the Bologna Process at the college’s auditorium, Al-Khwarizmi Hall. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Mohsen Hasan Hussein, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Mohannad Kamel Abdulhameed, the Head of the Computer Science Department, and Dr. Zaid Hassan Nasrallah, the Head of the Information Technology Department. The workshop was conducted in the presence of Dr. Mowafak Khadom Mohsen, the Dean of the College, and several faculty members from various departments.

The workshop covered an introduction to the global Bologna Process system and explained its implementation. It highlighted the adopted curricula based on the Bologna guidelines. Technical cases were discussed, and updates were addressed, with faculty members answering questions.

Speakers also provided an overview of the general context and objectives of the Bologna Process. They detailed the assessment distribution criteria for students and emphasized the guiding principles for implementing the system within the college departments.

Effective methods for curriculum implementation, organization of academic programs, student evaluation, and ensuring the quality of education were discussed during the workshop.
