The respected Dean of the College of Computer Science, Dr. Mowafaq Kadhim Al-Hasnawi, extends his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the entire Islamic nation on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)—the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family)—who was martyred in the eternal battle of Karbala in defense of truth, dignity, and justice.
Commemorating this painful tragedy is a revival of the values of truth, justice, and reform, for which Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) gave his life—values that continue to serve as a beacon for the free and the just across all times and places.
We ask Allah Almighty to magnify our reward and yours, and to grant us the strength to follow in the footsteps of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), upholding principles and standing for the oppressed.
Peace be upon Hussein,
Peace be upon Ali ibn al-Hussein,
Peace be upon the children of Hussein,
And peace be upon the companions of Hussein.
