The Faculty of Dentistry at Karbala University participated in the Third International Scientific Conference on Medical Sciences and Advanced Technologies.
The conference, organised by the Iraqi Academics Union in Karbala and hosted by Al-Zahrawi University College, was attended by governmental and academic figures from several Iraqi and international universities. Sultan Karim Sultan from the Faculty of Dentistry presented a scientific research paper on the use of precision medical techniques to synthesise a type of bio-nanoparticles through the use of beneficial bacteria and monitor their impact on some genotypes of antibiotic-resistant bacteria virulence factors. The conference comes as a step to enhance scientific and knowledge cooperation between private and governmental academic institutions, in addition to exchanging experiences and identifying the latest scientific and technical developments in the fields of medical sciences and advanced technologies, and in the field of achieving sustainable development.
