Minister of Education emphasises that the occasion represents a pillar and a constant on which Iraqis rely

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Naeem Al-Abboudi said that the occasion and anniversary of Victory Day represents a pillar and a constant on which Iraqis rely to preserve their rights and national gains.

This came in his speech during the conference held by Oruk University on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, where he explained that this day and this anniversary represent one of the most important pillars that Iraqis have shaped with the blood of their martyrs and the pride of their sons who made sacrifices and heroism and fought the battles of victory and liberation and cleansed the land from the clutches of evil and darkness and defeated the strays to keep the flag of Iraq high and victorious over all its sacred land.

He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities are working to establish the necessary buffers that protect society by strengthening the scientific presence and maintaining academic openness in the field of services and consultations and providing inspiring climates to create generations with a firm identity and high constants that make them fully responsible for protecting the country, its history, present and future.

The opening ceremony of the conference included official speeches by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Iraq, the President of Uruk University and the representative of the Faculty of Law in the presence of a number of MPs, ambassadors, university presidents, deans of colleges, representatives of unions, teaching staff and a group of students.
