His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, has approved the establishment of the Department of Continuing Education at the University of Karbala, following the university’s fulfillment of all required conditions and prerequisites.

This approval aligns with the strategic vision of the University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and his dedicated efforts to enhance the university’s academic infrastructure through the establishment of research, scientific, service, and advisory centers that strengthen the institution’s standing and reinforce its academic credibility.

Dr. Aysar Ashour Khalaf, Director of the Continuing Education Center, stated that the establishment of this department represents a qualitative addition that contributes to the academic and professional development of both university staff and the wider community. She emphasized that it reflects the university’s commitment to serving society and meeting its needs in the areas of training and continuous qualification.

Dr. Ashour further explained that the university ensured compliance with all necessary standards for the launch, including the provision of qualified staff who have undergone specialized development courses, as well as the availability of the required infrastructure, such as laboratories, lecture halls, and other essential facilities that enhance the quality of outcomes and develop trainees’ skills.
