The College of Computer Science organizes a course on extremism, terrorism, and counter-strategies.

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a course titled “Extremism, Terrorism, and Counter-Strategies” on Monday, April 15, 2024, at the Department of Information Technology. The course was conducted by Assistant Professor Fadel Abbas Sabah, Assistant Professor Hussain Saleh Manakhor, and Assistant Professor Zahraa Abdul Amir.

The course aims to introduce terrorism and its consequences. It covered clarifying the concept of terrorism, its history, addressing the manifestations of terrorism, and highlighting its main causes, as well as methods for addressing terrorism and the strategies to be followed.

Participants called for the necessity of organizing such courses to mitigate the phenomenon of terrorism, which breeds violence in social life.
