The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a workshop titled “Extremism, Terrorism, and Strategies for Counteraction” on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Information Technology Department for the third day. The workshop was facilitated by Assistant Lecturer Fadel Abbas Sabah, Assistant Lecturer Hussain Saleh Manakhour, and Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Abdul Amir.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness about terrorism and its consequences. It covered topics such as defining terrorism, its historical origins, various manifestations, and identifying its main causes. Additionally, it addressed strategies for combating terrorism and the necessary approaches to be followed.

Participants emphasized the importance of conducting such workshops to combat the phenomenon of terrorism, which generates violence in social life.
