The President of Karbala University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, visited the Karbala Center for Studies and Research of the Holy Husseiniya Shrine to discuss the mechanism of cooperation in the scientific and research fields.

The university president stressed the importance of openness to scientific institutions to achieve common goals, expressing the university’s readiness to cooperate with academic bodies by holding joint conferences, seminars and workshops.

Wajid pointed out the need to expand the study of scientific disciplines to satisfy the needs of the labor market in all fields.

For his part, Director of the Karbala Center for Studies and Research Abdul Amir Al-Quraishi praised the role of Karbala University in academic openness at the local and international levels, pointing out the importance of conducting studies dealing with the history of the city in scientific, religious and economic terms.

Al-Quraishi added, “One of the factors for the success of the center is its reliance on the academic element, especially those at Karbala University, because of its experience and scientific prestige.”
