Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, chaired the meeting of the committee formed by the Prime Minister’s directive concerning the Iraqi Space Program.
The meeting addressed the policies and procedures necessary to achieve the program’s intended goals, as well as mechanisms for coordination among the relevant institutions.
Minister Al-Aboudi emphasized the need to develop the program’s executive and legislative framework and highlighted the importance of involving Iraqi academic experts and specialized researchers through the Scientific Research Authority. He also stressed the value of drawing on regional and international experiences in a manner aligned with governmental efforts to enhance the scientific environment and promote sustainable development.
