Under the patronage of the esteemed President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali,
and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Mowafaq Kazem Al-Hasnawi,
and under the slogan “Computational Intelligence… Leading the Future”,
the College of Computer Science and Information Technology held its annual student project conference on Monday, April 21, 2025, within the scientific departments.
The technological outputs of the students were showcased, amounting to more than sixty projects, distributed between the Departments of Computer Science and Information Technology. These projects were the result of extensive fieldwork by the supervising professors and focused on software solutions for many challenges faced by institutions in particular and real life in general.
The conference was attended by several notable figures from the province, including the Chairman of the Karbala Provincial Council, Dr. Qasim Al-Yasari, who expressed his happiness and admiration for what he saw. He emphasized the importance of giving serious attention to these projects and integrating them into the labor market.
For his part, the President of the University highlighted the importance of these pioneering projects due to their significant impact on the academic environment in Karbala.
This was echoed by the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, who described the conference as important and effective, playing a key and successful role in providing solutions and addressing issues in the field of computing.
At the conclusion of the conference, visitors voted on the presented projects. The participating students affirmed their commitment to continuing their work in this field with sincerity and enthusiasm, in order to contribute to the advancement of their beloved country, Iraq.
