The College of Computer Science organizes a workshop on extremism, terrorism, and counterstrategies.

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a workshop titled “Extremism, Terrorism, and Strategies for Counteraction” on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Information Technology Department for the second day. Presenters included Assistant Professor Fadel Abbas Sabah, Assistant Professor Hussain Saleh Manakhour, and Assistant Professor Zahraa Abdul Amir.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness about terrorism and its repercussions. It covered the definition of terrorism, its historical background, various manifestations, and the main causes, as well as methods for addressing terrorism and the necessary approaches to be followed.

Participants stressed the importance of holding such workshops to combat the phenomenon of terrorism, which generates violence in social life.
