The University of Karbala has issued the first edition of the “Iraqi Future” magazine for political and strategic studies, published by the Center for Strategic Studies. The inaugural issue features a research paper titled “Counter-extremism Policy in Iraq after 2003” (A Study on Causes, Effects, and Confrontation Methods) as its lead article.

Additionally, the issue includes six other research papers covering topics such as peacebuilding in Iraq, international navigation amid the threat of oil tankers, the crisis of the Renaissance Dam between the Security Council and the International Court of Justice, the Sudanese crisis, the era of drones and their impact on strategic thinking about warfare, and the contribution of public relations in media outlets to crisis management.
