The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Baghdad, Mr. Cui Wei, and the two sides discussed ways to enhance scientific and educational cooperation between the universities of both countries.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of expanding joint academic collaboration and called for the establishment of an Iraqi-Chinese university specialized in artificial intelligence and advanced digital technologies. He noted that the Ministry is moving forward with the implementation of its strategic vision, which focuses on diversifying knowledge sources and engaging with leading global experiences in the fields of AI and technological innovation.

For his part, Ambassador Cui Wei affirmed his country’s commitment to fostering academic cooperation in the areas of education and technology, expressing his support for the initiative to establish an academic institution dedicated to artificial intelligence that would contribute to knowledge infrastructure and support the goals of sustainable development.
