His Excellency President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi.

The meeting addressed the status of Iraqi universities and colleges, as well as the overall educational process in the country. The President emphasized the importance of advancing the education sector and enhancing the standing of Iraqi universities.

His Excellency also stressed the need to support graduating students by enrolling them in developmental training programs prior to employment, in order to expand their experience, enhance their skills, and improve their technical qualifications. This, he noted, would enable them to adapt to the workplace environment and contribute effectively to national development and progress. He further pointed to the importance of expanding the scholarship system in a manner that encourages students to continue their pursuit of education and knowledge.

For his part, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research expressed his gratitude for the President’s guidance, and presented an overview of the Ministry’s operations and its future plans to develop the higher education sector in Iraq.
